Pets and GMOs

As a huge proponent of living and eating healthy, including organic and non-GMOs for us and our pets, I am so glad that one of the well known experts on GMOs, Jeffrey Smith, with The Institute of Responsible Technology, has created a website PetsandGMOs.com.  He created the short 10 minute movie below too. Check it out!

Jeffrey Smith also produced the documentary about GMOs called Genetic Roulette, which came out about 5 years ago. I highly recommend this documentary to anyone to hasn't seen it. It's available to rent, buy or you can find it on YouTube for free.

Dog Cancer Series Documentary

A new documentary was just released for pet lovers and veterinarians alike. The Dog Cancer Series - Rethinking the Canine Epidemic is a six hour documentary now available on DVD and will also be available for digital download very soon. It was co-produced by Karen Becker, DVM and Rodney Habib.

Dr. Becker is well known from Mercola Healthy Pets, which is the most viewed pet health website in the world. She is also the author of Real Foods for Healthy Dogs and Cats: Simple Homemade Food.

Rodney Habib is well known to pet lovers everywhere from his Facebook page Planet Paws, which is the largest Facebook pet health site worldwide. He also has a website with the same name.

It took them a year and over 25,000 miles to create this much needed documentary so they can bring awareness to the devastating epidemic of cancer in dogs. Another reason they created it is "to provide pet owners with the most relevant and impactful advice currently available from the top oncologists, researchers and veterinarians in the world." Another priority, Dr. Becker says, is to also get this information into the hands of veterinarians as this is information that is not taught in veterinary schools.

I've seen it and highly recommend it. It contains a lot of great information!

Redemption

In a previous post I wrote about an excellent book that was a real eye opener when it comes to animal shelters in this country, called Redemption by Nathan Winograd. This book won five national book awards and redefined the animal protection movement in this country.

Nathan is the founder and director of No Kill Advocacy Center. He brought to our attention and awareness the truth about why there are still 3 to 4 million animals that are killed in our animal shelters every year. And as you'll learn, it's not because there aren't enough homes for them all, like we've been told. 

Nathan and his non-profit No Kill Advocacy Center have been doing great work since 2004 in helping to change our sheltering system to No-Kill shelters. Check out the animal shelters that have been reformed in our own state of Texas! We need them all to be like this! (Not in Texas? Look up your state by going here.)

I just finished watching the new documentary Pet Fooled, which is about pet foods. Great documentary! I highly recommend every pet parent watch it!

Pet Fooled, The Movie

The film the pet food industry doesn’t want a world of pet food consumers to see; Pet Fooled -- coming soon. To be released January 2017. Yes! Check out the trailer below. The film just debuted at the Catalina Film Festival. It is unknown if the film will be airing in theaters but will probably be available on Pay Per View type channels beginning in early January.

I watched it last year and bought the DVDs so I can share it with more people. I plan on watching it again as it is so full of information! This is not just for people who have or have had cancer, but also for those who want to avoid it in the first place. That pretty much covers everyone I think! You will be amazed at what you learn on this life changing documentary.

Structured Water: Nature's Gift

Structured Water - Also known as hexagonal, clustered, crystalline, organized, living, the fourth phase, sacred, and holy water.

Almost all the scientific discovery and contributions regarding structured water have stayed under the public's radar and out of mainstream media and the realm of general information. 

For instance, did you know that in the 1990's, three Nobel Prizes were awarded for work relating to structured water mostly involving DNA, intracellular fluids, cellular communication and protein folding? Genetic Roulette

 I have been well aware of and doing my best to avoid genetically modified foods (GMO’s) for myself, my family and for my animals.  I recently came across this new documentary, “Genetic Roulette” which is an online movie that explains and summarizes all the potential hazardous effects of GMO’s on our food producing animals, our companion animals and humans.

Please watch this documentary, Genetic Roulette, and share it with as many people as you can.  We can all make this shift in awareness and improve the health of countless animals and people. Though the free online showing (during last week) is over, you can still view it online for a small donation of $2.99.
